The “Caring for the Caregivers” program, conducted at Trichy Ramana Rehabilitation Center by the Nishta Neurodevelopment Center’s Social Work Department, the team led by Senior Medical Social Worker Ms. Gayathri Suresh, along with Junior Medical Social Workers Mr. Febin Dominc and Ms. Albita Kurian. The team effectively involved caregivers and parents of children with autism spectrum conditions, emphasizing the importance of their well-being through activities that encourage dedicated “Me-Time.”

Social workers highlighted the importance of self-care, emphasizing its positive impact on therapy and the overall journey of children with special needs. The positive feedback received underscores the program’s success in addressing caregivers’ needs and the expressed desire for more frequent sessions reflects the impact and importance of such initiatives.
