Dr. Amola Patel, a Consultant Developmental Paediatrician, has been practicing in Ahmedabad, Gujarat since 2003. She is the founder- director of Aashay Early Intervention Center where she offers specialized care to children with developmental disabilities and behaviour disorders. She has worked at Concept Pediatric Neurology Center from 2012 to 2022. At present, she is running ‘High Risk Newborn Clinic‘ at Arpan Newborn Care Center. Dr. Patel is the Vice Chairperson of IAP Growth Development and Behaviour Pediatrics Chapter. She has been National Coordinator and core faculty for ‘Basics of Behaviour’ and ‘Cradle to Crayon’ IAP action plan modules. She has been part of Position Paper by IAP in collaboration with WHO, UNICEF, NNF, and FOGSI on ‘Nurturing Care for Early Childhood Development’. Dr. Patel has been a national trainer for the RACE programme. She has published papers at national and international conferences. Dr. Amola is associate editor of Textbook of Growth, devepment and behavioral pediatrics and author for chapters in the same book. She has written and published a book “Learning Simplified – with Toys and Games”, a parent guidance book.
