She is a distinguished Pediatrician and Professor of Pediatrics and an alumnus of the prestigious JIPMER, Puducherry. She is currently pursuing her IAP fellowship in neurodevelopmental pediatrics at Nishta Integrated centre. She has more than 20 years of experience in Pediatrics and has  worked in various medical colleges as UG and PG teacher. She has special interest in growth and developmental issues of children and also in Juvenile diabetes. She has 16 publications in national and international journals to her credit.
